Evaluation Basics Workshop

What is evaluation? Why is it important? What does it have to do with our work as facilitators and trainers?

Join members of the Public Health in ToP Action Team to explore common types of evaluation, discuss the kinds of questions an evaluation plan can answer, and provide a framework to guide its development. Together we will walk a ToP-specific example through that evaluation framework and consider how to uncover the information we seek using the methods discussed.

This session is intended for those who want to understand how evaluation can improve their practice, redirect their business, satisfy their funders or enhance their community impact.

NOTES ON USING ADOBE CONNECT

You will need relatively current software and the latest version of Adobe FLASH loaded on your computer for Adobe Connect to work properly. Use this link to test your connections: http://admin.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

We will be recording this meeting and will use AdobeConnect VoIP. Please use a headset if you have one to enhance your participation and the participation of others.

The headset has to have a microphone like you would use for SKYPE calls. If your computer accepts the headset you use with your cell phone, it should work well enough. If you want to acquire a headset, you can find them easily at Target, Best Buy, Walmart and similar stores. They do not have to be fancy or expensive.

If you do not use a headset, you may be able to use your computer speakers to listen. If there is noise when you open your speakers, you will be asked to stay muted and make your comments via chat pod.
